Hi mlvprincess,
Welcome to EmpowHER. You should not use an emergency pill as a form of birth control. You will need to see a doctor about choosing the right method of birth control pills or using a condom to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. Some of the side effects of an emergency pill are an earlier or later, heavier or lighter period. Breast pain can also be due to the pills. You will need to wait until your period is due and if doesn't show up, take a home pregnancy test. To know if you are pregnant.
Best,
Daisy
