I have a thyroid nodule ont rt side that is 2.5 cm. What is the best treatment? I also have 2 more nodules that are smaller in size in thyroid. To save risk should I just have the whole thyroid removed rather than jus the rt side?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Treatment depends on the type of thyroid nodule you have.  If a thyroid nodule isn't cancerous, there are several treatment options.  Thyroid hormone suppression therapy.  This involves treating a benign nodule with levothyroxine a synthetic form of pill.  You will need to discuss with your doctor, as to deciding which therapy would be best with you.

Best,

Daisy
