I had unprotected sex on the day my period ended (16 Jan) and then i took plan b pills late since I do not know about it before, like on the fifth day after me and my boyfriend had sex and we are on withdrawal method, Now (26 Jan) I'm bleeding, like heavy bleeding during period, not spotting, is it implantation or am I just having period? And, can I still be pregnant after that? I took a pregnancy test since I'm bleeding and it came out negative.

Your welcome. Since you took Plan B, this is a very common side effect so you should be fine. Keep us posted.

Hi Tifaky,

Thank you for your question. Having a period is a good sign of not being pregnant and Plan B or Next Choice causes you to have a period so this is a common side effect from using Plan B. In most cases, after using Plan B you will experience irregular periods for approximately two months which may include heavy bleeding, cramping, etc.

Thanks a lot for the reply, it helps a lot. Though i heard about implantation bleeding. I thought it was it because this bleeding is heavy but unusually short, like it started 2 days back and ended today, and i used to have periods like 4-5 days long.
