I was diagnosed with PT a few weeks ago it has spread to my face: ( From reading all the posting I know I should get more sunlight but its cold out. I am African American so tanning beds will be my last resort. Is there anything I can do or take to clear my face?

Guide

Hello and thank you for sharing your question.

Pityriasis Rosea goes away by itself in 6 to 8 weeks.  The best thing to do in the mean time is stay cool.  Do not get too warm or sweaty.  So cold weather is good! Avoid hot showers.  Keep the water cool.  Use very gentle soaps such as Dove to avoid irritation.

Ultraviolet light treatment should be administered by a doctor because tanning beds will expose you to uncertain wavelength delivery.
