What is wrong with me? Sti std what is this ! Please help I am only 17. I have had 1 partner and have had sex 4 times with him. I have not had sex for 2 and a half months but last week I have had very weird symptoms. I was severely exhausted and achy. I had headaches and chill. Also bad muscle pain and stiffness. I have had all these symptoms and sever facial swelling (mostly in eyes) everyday now for about 1 week. About 4 days ago I noticed a pain feeling like a cut in my vagaina. It hurts to walk sit pee. I then looked at it with a mirror and was shocked to see it was a huge gauge looking cut. I noticed a smaller one underneath it. I also have had a cancer sore in my mouth for a week. The cut on my vagina is an odd circular shape all whitish puss surrounded by a red circle. It is very large and painful and I am soooo scared. I can't tell my parents and am so embarrassed and scared to tell my doctor please help I don't know what to do. I am an athlete and can't train with this sickness cause I am so exhausted. Please help me the sores are freakingme out and I don't want them to be infected or anything. Is there anything I can put on it ! Thank you so much.

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Genital sores may be painful, itchy, produce a discharge, or cause no symptoms at all.

Because genital lesions or sores can have a negative affect on a person's self-image, many people do not seek proper medical care. All genital sores should be evaluated by a medical professional.

Itching, painful urination, or painful sexual intercourse often occur with genital lesions.

Some of the causes can be chancroid, genital herpes, syphilis, genital warts and many other.  You will be seen by your OBGYN and witht he proper testing he will find the proper treatment.  There is no need to be embarrassed or scared of letting your doctor know of your symptoms.  That’s what a doctor is there for.  You will not be he’s first and only patient with his these symptoms.

Best,

Daisy
