Severe menopause symptoms

Have been taking the lowest dose of prempro on and off for two years which helped greatly. Went off it completely the past 4 weeks and my symptoms are severe. Continuous hot flashes, very emotional, depressed, Attention deficit disorder(cannot focus) which is not like me at all, cannot sleep, severely stressed out with muscles in my back just clinched! I am a retired registered nurse, age 51. I had invitro 5 times with the result of my one son at age 35. I tried I-cool and it relieved my hot flashes a little for a week or so. So I ended up taking a prempro yesterday and feel better today. I guess I will go see my doctor next week as I realize I cannot keep taking HRT. But I do not know of any other treatment that is working for severe symptoms like I am enduring. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Michelle
