Hi Anon

Thanks for your post!

Well, there is definitely a risk in skydiving!

There are many factors to consider.

How big is his tumor? If it's small, he runs far less risk.  Very large tumors can cause dizziness and lethary which is not good when jumping out of a plane.

Is his tumor benign? Many tumors have no symptoms at all and they are very common - one out of every five or six of have them in our lifetime, although this doesn't mean they can't be serious.

Best thing he can do is check with his doctor and hopefully he will say yes. Skydiving is so much fun! If this is his first, I'd suggest a tandem dive.

The other thing he must do is tell the skydiving company beforehand.  He should not jump without informing them of this tumor. If he has any symptoms in the weeks before, he should not jump.

I hope he gets to do it- let us know!
