My last period stated on 15th of july till 17th, my cycle is normaly 28 days. Im currently going through my fertile time of the months. I was just wondering could i be pregnancy or that im due on soon that im fertile? Please Help.

Hi Shannon,

Thanks for your question. There are a couple of reasons for these breast sensations you've been having. The first is when you are going through puberty and your breasts are growing. As the tissue expands, you may feel a swelling, tingly, tender feeling in your breasts. Another reason is that when your menstrual cycle is about to begin, you may experience breast tenderness/tingling due to water retention. The fluid forces the breast tissues to expand, which stretches the nerves and makes breasts feel achy or tender. And finally, Some women experience tenderness in their breasts just before or after ovulation. This is related to the hormones rushing in your body, getting ready for the potential of pregnancy.

If there is redness, persistent itchiness and/or pain that accompanies this tenderness, please visit your doctor for further evaluation.

All the best,

Rosa
