Is Sprintec effective after 9 days?

My bf and I had sex, he pulled out, but that doesn't really matter. I have been on Sprintec 28 (Ortho Cyclen) for 9 days. Do you think I am protected?

Hi MoeyBear,

For maximum effectiveness, it is recommended that you take your pills for 2 weeks straight with protection before having unprotected sex. Unfortunately, it's not up to us to say whether or not we think you were protected-- it could be or it could be not. Please continue taking your pills and keep us posted when you get your period.
