Hi,
There are several causes of pain in your heel, and could be caused from bursitis, joint pain or a heel "spur", as well as other conditions.

Have you been diagnosed with a bone spur in your heel, or have you had this condition before? If not, you would want to see a Podiatrist for a proper diagnosis, as pain in your heel can be caused by many different factors.

A bone spur does not usually cause pain in itself, as it is just extra bone that is deposited on top of existing bone. It is important to see a doctor, however, as the underlying reason that your body is depositing extra bone on top of existing bone could be caused by another condition.
