Hi Anon,
Welcome to EmpowHER. It depends on how responsible is the person taking the pill. If skipped or forgotten to take the pill, put's her at risk of pregnancy.
For the first 7 days of taking the Pill, a girl should use an additional form of contraception, such as condoms, to prevent pregnancy. After 7 days, the Pill should work alone to prevent pregnancy. But continuing to use condoms will protect against sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). There's other forms of birth control like a patch, Birth control shot. It might be good to talk to her doctor and have him decide which method of birth control would be best for her.
Best,
Daisy
