Guide

Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland does not make enough thyroid hormones. Hyperthyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland makes too much thyroid hormones.

Recovery following the removal of a goiter is patient dependent. Some patients are discharged from the hospital the day after surgery, while in some cases, patients may spend up to 3 days in the hospital. One average, it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to fully recover.
