Physical therapists who specialize in this kind of therapy help a person to strengthen their pelvic floor muscles and teach their bodies how to control when they have bowel movements. They will also work to strengthen your sphincter muscle so a person has more control. These exercises will be explained at the start of therapy and charts and other information on to do this at home will also be provided.
