Good question!

Current MedlinePlus list of heart disease research is listed, and there is too much information to summarize for you.

The American Heart Association's Research page lists current funding opportunities, which is a great place to gain insight as to what are "hot topics" for future research.

If you are trying to find a Clinical Trial to join, this is where google comes in handy! Just type in "clinical trials heart disease" and many hospitals are undergoing studies in heart disease, and may be looking for participants in your area (you can tell me what city/state you live in, and I can look it up for you!) For instance, the Mayo Clinic has some interesting studies currently being conducted.

For more information, you may also view the Go Red for Women campaign.

Does this information help? I can provide more information if you are looking for a specific area of research ("heart disease" is broad), a particular clinical trial in your area, or other information.
