What's going on with my period?

I had unprotected sex on 4 days before my period came on. It came the time it was supposed to and today is my last day like normal. But the problem is I bleed really heavy but this period is really really light. I don't know whether to call it spotting or light bleeding because I havent had either of them before. But I called my doctor and she said she doubts I'm pregnant because I ovulated before I had sex. But if it's not that I'm confused. Could I be pregnant??

Guide

Describing a menstrual flow as either light or heavy is subjective.

A menstrual period generally lasts from 2-7 days and has a typical volume of blood and fluid loss of about 2 to 8 (average 5) tablespoons. This corresponds to about eight or fewer soaked pads per day with usually no more than 2 days of heavy bleeding.

It is not unusual for a women to have a lighter than normal menstrual period occasionally. You did the right thing by contacting your doctor.
