Hello, and thank you for sharing your question with the community.  I'd love to give you some information on the subject.

First, I want to understand your situation clearly.  In you subject you mentioned contact dermatitis, but in your comment, you did not mention anything about a rash.  I am wondering, did the dye cause a rash of some kind such as blisters, itchiness, or burning sensations on your scalp? If so then that is the first thing you must treat.

It is hard to say whether or not your hair will completely grow back because it depends on the dye you used, the extent of the damage and your specific hair type. Chemical treatments of any kind are very tough on hair and the more you use chemical treatments the harder it is for your hair to grow back.  The best thing to do is give your hair a rest from the chemicals.  Use protein and vitamin rich conditioners and shampoos, and stay away from blow drying, dying, straightening or any other treatment that weakens the hair follicles.

Let us know if you have any more questions.
