Rosa Shares How Gastric Bypass Surgery Changed Her Life (VIDEO)

Rosa explains how her life has changed since having her gastric bypass procedure.

Rosa:
My gastric bypass surgery gave me, I mean, lots and lots of freedom, not just clothes, but it’s the stuff that I can do with my kids, like walking or even pretend that I want to learn how to skateboarding or do the scooter. I mean, before I was afraid, “What if I fall down and I break my ankle,” because I was so heavy. Now it’s not. I mean, I might be able to break it because I just don’t know how to do it, but not because I am overweight, and it’s like, I still don’t wear swimming suit, two-piece swimming suit, but I am a lot more like, I want to go out to the swimming pool with the girls because they want to go out to swimming pool. Before it was like, “I’ll just watch them from outside.” I was too big. Not that they would feel embarrassed, but I was just too big to feel comfortable in the water with them.

Now I feel like I am a butterfly. I came out of the cocoon, and I am like little compared to how I used to be. I mean clothes, I am more brave in wearing clothes that probably are not my age, not rebelling, but just that’s my age. They are more into younger, like my daughter’s clothes. We can share clothes now. Before it was like never. I would never think in my wildest dream that I can be sharing my clothes with my daughter.
