If you haven't heard already, Nestle is voluntarily recalling Toll House cookie dough.
You can read the story here. Apparently some had eaten raw dough and the Food and Drug Administration is investigating possible E.Coli.
According to an FDA press release"Since March 2009 there have been 66 reports of illness across 28 states. Twenty-five persons were hospitalized; 7 with a severe complication called Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). No one has died."
Finally, the FDA recommends that customers throw away the dough and not cook it as possible bacteria may rub off on surfaces and hands.
The government agency said Nestle, the makers of the dough, are cooperating fully with the investigation.
