As a mother, I would take cancer in my body in a minute over seeing one of my children diagnosed and having to go through cancer treatment. But then my children are grown, no longer dependent on their parents. Were I facing cancer as a mother of a very young child, I would be consumed with fear of not being able to be there to take care of him or her. But it gets even worse than that, doesn’t it? A 28-yr-old mom and her 1-yr-old daughter fighting cancer at the same time.
With no energy to take care of her 6-mo-old infant and unable to continue breastfeeding due to her chemo treatments and PET scans, Kezia Fitzgerald was more worried about the impact of her stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma on her daughter than on herself….until her daughter’s diagnosis - stage 4 neuroblastoma. Now both of them have a stage 4 cancer and are undergoing treatment. Heartbreaking.
And not to be forgotten! The husband of the young wife battling stage 4 Hodgkins lymphoma. The father of the 1-yr-old daughter battling stage 4 neuroblastoma. One man.
My heart and love really go out to this family who in my mind is facing the ultimate cancer nightmare. Let’s send universal love and healing energy their way.

Yep, heartbreaking story. I don't spread sad stories for the sake of sharing the sadness however. I hope that if they are in the minds and hearts of enough caring people, our love will bring them the healing they need.
