If you have a problem with some parts of your body, it is only natural that you want cosmetic surgery to take care of your problem and make it go away. In your desire to have things back the way they used to be or the way you want them to be, you can overlook certain possibilities which could help you just as effectively as a surgery would. There are different types of procedures, some less and some more invasive, but all rather effective. Here is a list of procedures the surgeons state are the most popular these days in our society.
Breast Enhancement
Women usually have problems with their breasts: they are either too small, too big, uneven, oddly shaped or otherwise bother you, and you want to take care of it. You can get a breast augmentation or enlargement – this procedure involves implants under the breast tissue. Mastopexy or the breast uplift and mammoplasty or the breast reduction are also very popular among women. These procedures may enhance firmness and change the appearance of larger breasts which cause health problems. It may come as a surprise, but there is also male breast reduction procedure, available for men who suffer from gynaecomastia, which is the condition in which a man's breasts become enlarged.
Body sculpting
This is yet another name for lipoplasty or liposuction. With obesity having such high rate among people, it is no wonder the procedure is so common and popular. The surgeons will insert the tube beneath the skin and vacuum-suck the fat. The procedure is usually performed on the problematic areas such as hips, buttocks, abdomen and thighs. If you undergo the procedure, you will be ready to go back to work in a few days time, but the swelling may last for months afterwards.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty allows you to get different nose. You can have it smaller, bigger, narrower or straighter if you want, or you can have the angle between the nose and upper lip changed. The surgeons remove some of the skin, and change the structure of your nose, namely the bone and cartilage. It takes approximately two to four weeks for the face to fully recover and you can move on with your life. During the recovery you need to make sure that you are sleeping on your back and not bumping your nose on anything.
Cosmetic surgery is an ever growing area with more and more people from all social areas turning to it when they have a problem. It is not a surprise that it grew and developed so much in the previous decades. Your surgeon may suggest an alternative to your desired procedure, and there is no reason not to listen to them. With all these procedures available, it is no wonder people don’t know at once what they want. Why not take a moment or two to think about the alternatives, something less invasive, instead?
