Avocados are one of my favorite foods. I eat at least 3-4 per week. I was raised with avocados as part of my breakfast routine while growing up in Peru. I had never heard of guacamole dip until I come to California. I must say that Avocados are a must in my children's diet as well. Avocados are full of nutrients:
Fiber
Essential fatty acids
Glutathione
Vitamin E
Folic acid
Potassium
Copper
Vitamin B5
Biotin
Vitamin A
Vitamin B1
Vitamin B2
Vitamin B3
Amino acids
Carotenoids
Vitamin K
Manganese
Zinc
Folate
Avocados also have three times the potassium of a banana, inhibit certain types of bacteria in the intestine and have an average amount of antioxidant.
