Blood is a complex mix of blood cells, clotting factors, proteins, cholesterol and other molecules. Various infections, medications and diseases can decrease white blood cells (neutropenia), increase other cell types (eosinophilia) or affect red blood cells (erthythmia). Blood disorders like hemophilia and von Willebrand disease are considered genetic conditions.
