  The white bump has been there for almost a year and is about the size of a small green pea. It has never bother him until 2 wks ago. He said occasionally it has a burning pain.

  I have had several biopsies that show sever inflamation. I need help.

  

  I have burning tongue syndrome with very painful lesions surrounded by white lines. I do not believe it is fungal. What could be the cause and what can I do to ease the pain. The doctors are of no help because they just try mouth rinses?

  I was unaware that film critic Roger Ebert was suffering from oral cancer until he bravely allowed a portrait to be taken of him for Vanity Fair this week.
