Respect Your Feet
You may not feel that your feet are your loveliest assets. But you'd miss them if they were gone. And it's a good idea to take care of these beasts of burden.
Your feet carry alot of weight and there are many things that can go wrong. They may have a bad odor, or cracked dry skin. They may have corns and ingrown toenails or fungal infections. Bones can break. Arches can fall. And if we don't take care of these problems, they can get worse.
"With some 26 bones and a complex framework of muscles, tendons and ligaments, your feet absorb the impact of your full body weight with every step, keeping you balanced and upright in the process."
Make sure your shoes fit. Go for walks to keep muscles, tendons and ligaments healthy. Wash your feet daily, to prevent bacterial and fungal infections.
Moisturize your feet to avoid scaling and dry skin. Wear socks made of natural fibers. They protect your feet and keep them dry by wicking moisture away from your feet.

We value and respect the experiences of all of our HERWriters, but everyone is different. Many of our writers are speaking from personal experience, and what's worked for them may not work for you. Their articles are not a substitute for medical advice although we hope you can gain knowledge from their insight.
