Heart Bypass Recovery: How Was This Experience?

The rehab experience that I had at Banner Heart, it was just an incredible experience because every nurse there was on top of everything. They tested and they adjusted and you always were monitored and they were always aware of what was going on with you and they were friendly and they are still so friendly that I always make sure that I go back to visit them when I go back to the hospital to visit, not to stay, but to visit.
I was in there for several days. The bad news thing – I was in there and over, Thanksgiving and that’s not a time you want to be in a hospital, and my daughter had come for ten days from Colorado to be with me so I had to farm her out to somebody for thanksgiving. But, I did well and of course I am a competitive person and so, in fact I was doing the rounds with the drip thing, all the other people are walking around the hospital circle there and when we got through my daughter says, “Mom, I always knew you were competitive but I thought it was only about golf,” because I was trying to do laps on all of these people out there.
So, it was good. I did well with this recovery and came home and I did well for myself. So, do what you need to do.
Got in the rehab, that was in November and January got into the rehab program there that was just outstanding. I went three days a week for three months and the nurses in there are just wonderful. I still, every time I go back over the hospital to see people, I always go in there and say hello and they always just think it’s great because I look good to them.
