Finally Shutting Down From Fatigue

Rate This

Tired. Today I finally felt my body and mind quieting down and wanting to rest. For the past few weeks I have been on overdrive and feeling like the Energizer Bunny. I’m not sure where all of this extra energy came from, but I gladly embraced it.

This morning I woke up and and immediately went to fill my need for Dilaudid and then start the day. I had an early am hair appointment and Kiera and I were home by early afternoon; however I couldn’t help but wanting to fall asleep and shut my eyes the entire time we were in the car. The afternoon was filled with a long overdue nap. Even still, when I woke at 4pm I couldn’t shake the groggy feeling.

Overall, the pain today was about the same as the past couple of days. Its strange though because the pain seems to move ti different areas each day. One day it may be the surgery area that hurts, the next it is my T8 area on the back. Today it seemed to be the right rib area and surgery area on my back. I also noticed that my right leg, ankle, and foot are still extremely swollen from the blood clot. I have been taking the Lovenox shots now for about a week and I’m wondering when the fluid retention will go away. It is really annoying on the foot and tends to even hurt a little by the end of the day from wearing flip flops because my foot is so swollen. Today we went to pick up the rest of the prescriptions from my discharge at the hospital…$140! And this was only for 3 more prescriptions. The large ticket item was the Relistor, the shot I have to give to myself for stomach issues. The pharmacist says it was a good thing insurance decided to cover 1it because if not the cost could be about $800 per month! I guess it is a common occurrence for this to happen because the social worker at SHC also brought this up and gave her number in case I had any issues getting the med covered.
