Dr. Henschke describes if lung cancer has any identifying warning signs.

Dr. Henschke:
Lung cancer has, does not have early warning signs, and that’s because our lungs have so much capacity that a small nodule doesn’t impair, or small lung cancer doesn’t impair our function. It has to become very large and either press on some blood vessel or nerves, so you might be coughing up blood or you might have pain, but those are very late manifestations of lung cancer. Early on, there’s really very little, there are very few signs and that’s why screening has such potential.
