Melissa:

I think being a positive person has really helped me. I have heard of other people with lung cancer that’s in the same stage as I am that have curled up in a ball and locked the doors of their home and haven’t come out until a caregiver’s come by and it has ruined their health.

I mean, they couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep and were malnourished and it only made the cancer spread even faster and faster. And, to the point where, five months later, here I am at the stage I am in and this other person that maybe doesn’t have as positive as attitude, they are almost on their death bed. And, that’s not to say that that is something that always happens, but I definitely think that having a positive attitude helps, helps you both physically and mentally.
