Surgical Procedures for Nutritional Anemia

Although blood loss from surgery can itself cause iron deficiency anemia, there are no surgical procedures for treating or managing nutritional anemia. Some rare, non-nutritional forms of anemia are treated, or even cured, by surgical removal of the spleen .
