Dr. Kharazmi:
Armour thyroid, pro is that it has combination T4 and T3 which is more natural. It has a delivery system that’s a little slow because T3 in your body breaks down pretty fast, so you want to be able to release that thyroid hormone gradually over some time. So it does that as well for you.

The only challenge sometimes is again, that those limitations, you know, having to take in like a dose of 30 versus 60 versus how about 50 or 45? You cannot break it down too well. So it’s a little more complicated to compound compared to compounding thyroid hormone therapy but honestly, it’s better choice than the other synthetic thyroid hormones available because you get the combination treatment of thyroid deficiency which is with the active T3 and T4 and a slow delivery system which is more natural for the body as well.
