Toxins, How Are They Entering Our Bodies? - Dr. Ring (VIDEO)

Dr. Ring explains how toxins can enter our bodies.

Dr. Ring:
One of the big issues that, in terms of toxins, is something that’s happened over the past 30 to 40 years. There are three main organizations that are looking at how toxins are getting into our bodies. There is the EPA, which is the Environmental Protection Agency. They were the original group to start doing assays back in the 1970s.

There is the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and the Environmental Working Group, and these three organizations have started doing assays of people’s bodies looking at blood and urine and other sorts of test to look at what our toxic body load is, and it’s kind of scary.

You will see that plastics, like the BPA from baby bottles, rocket fuel is showing up in formula and then showing up into infants’ bodies, sunscreen and hormone altering chemicals are showing up in teenage bodies, and I think the idea is that with the microwave you are really drawing those chemicals into the food I a stronger degree by raising the heat and therefore, just exacerbating the whole problem.

So, I don’t think that avoiding plastic in your life is feasible, but again, it gets to that point of trying to minimize our exposure as much as we can.
