Registered Dietitian Elizabeth Somer introduces herself and shares if a woman's mood is altered when she eats.

Registered Dietitian Elizabeth Somer:
I am Elizabeth Somer, I am a registered dietician, author of numerous books including Food and Mood, The Origin Diet, Age-proof Your Body, and others. I am a frequent guest on NBC’s Today show and was nutrition correspondent for Good Morning America as well as NBC’s Later Today and also Editor-in-Chief of Nutrition Alert, Advisory Board member to Shape magazine and have written numerous articles in everything from Better Homes and Gardens to Cosmo.

When you eat is as important as what you eat. Research has overwhelmingly shown, for instance, that breakfast is really and truly the most important meal of the day. People that skip breakfast are much more likely to battle a weight problem, battle fatigue, memory loss, food cravings later in the day, and therefore weight problems down the road. That’s just one example.

Spreading your food intake out more evenly throughout the day, starting with breakfast, is the best way to fuel the brain with quality fuel and keep it in tip-top order.

About Elizabeth Somer:
