Dr. Steinman shares some non-surgical options for facial rejuvenation.

There are a large number of non-surgical options for facial rejuvenation. As I mentioned most of these were developed by dermatologists. You can start simply with very effective prescription products such as the retinoids, Retin-A, Tazorac, Differin, you can then go to Cosmeceuticals, there are glycolic acid products, there are growth factor products, there are products that contain vitamin C that are highly affective at removing the fine lines, wrinkles, shallow complexion and actually heal some of the sun damage. Moving up from that you can do chemical peels and there are several types of chemical peels. There are the types where you have the peel and go right back to work. They called them lunchtime peels and a series of those are extremely effective and very often contain glycolic acid and Salicylic acid and they are available on almost every dermatologist office. Then there are deeper chemical peels that would remove deeper lines and wrinkles but those often require a day to five days of down time. We have fillers that we can inject in almost any part of the face to improve fine lines and wrinkles, deeper lines and wrinkles, we can raise up the corners of the mouth, we can improve the nasolabial folds that deepen as we age, for line you know from your upper cheek down to the corner of your mouth. You can improve crow’s-feet with this forehead lines, you can raise eyebrows and then there is Botox, which is an excellent product for treating lines in your face that are caused by muscle movement. Botox can also raise the corners of your mouth; you can inject it under the brows to raise the brows. It is very versatile product.
