Karine recalls the symptoms she exhibited before her asthma diagnosis.
Karine:
Probably the most significant general way to describe things is I was a sickly little kid. I was the kid on the block that could never run and play up and down the street like the rest of the kids. I was the one that never felt good. I was a super skinny little kid, just always sick, always feeling run down. Nobody knew why. My parents didn’t know why; my regular physician didn’t know why. So it pretty well stayed a mystery until I was about 10 years old when a new family member entered my life that decided there was something going on, something significant, and decided that it was probably time to seek other treatment from other professionals, aside from just regular primary care physician, and I wound up seeing a specialist. And that’s when things started to change, and I got a diagnosis and made progress.
