Andrea explains why she is glad she chose to receive the REALIZE® Band bariatric surgery performed by Dr. Johnell at Banner North Colorado Medical Center.
Andrea:
I’ve been asked if the procedure was worth it. My insurance company, mostly because I did not have other health risks associated with it, paid for certain things along the way such as a sleep study and certain office visits, but I paid a big amount of the cost by myself.
I took out a loan and I’m paying it, and my children from time-to-time were worried about me paying for college, so maybe worrying about themselves, and I have been asked, do I regret doing it and, no. This is something that I would do again at any point in time. I already did it once and it’s over but yes, I guess I would say I would recommend it for anyone else as a strategy that can help them be successful, and it was definitely worth, the surgery itself wasn’t that painful. The recovery and the adjustments along the way were relatively minor in my view and the cost was definitely worth it for me.
