Anyone use Neurological Relief Center for Fibro relief?

My chiropractor is part of this group that advertises relief for Fibromyalgia. I have had the basic test done and had some immediate relief of headache and muscle pain. The test was like an accupressure kind-of-thing behind my jaw and at the base of my skull. The Dr. says it's not really accupressure. I haven't actually started treatment yet. There is a web site : stopfibro.net Thanks, Linda

Thank you for that. My wife has FM and is searching for non-pharmaceutical interventions. As a scientist who worked in pharmaceutical R & D for over 20 years I think I can spot a "wrong'un" and this technique looks like BS...........

Dear Concerned Professional, I do appreciate your frankness and comments. I was wondering why there was not some balance of testimonial data on the web site. Anything purporting to be a cure-all needs to be questioned, thank God for THIS web community at EmpowHER!!!!!! lslassiter

If that worked somewhat for you then you need to check out the NUCCA procedure. I am a doctor that practices the NUCCA technique. After hearing how and where the Neurological Relief procedure is applied, I realized that it is a variation on what I do as a doctor, except that NUCCA procedure calculates an exact location and specific direction of correction needed based upon diagnostic testing and sometimes x-rays if necessary. NUCCA does not just blindly press at the base of the skull and hope that it gets better ... we use actual data and measurments.

Be careful of what you expect from this treatment as it is my experience that performing a non-specific treatment such as the Neurologic Relief Technique will not bring lasting changes usually ... but will work for a few hours to a day and then wear off just like an aspirin. Not that there is not some benefit to temporary relief but I strongly suggest you go for an evaluation by your local NUCCA practitioner for a lasting correction of your problem.

You can find it in a simple search online at NUCCA dot org. I have a website for my office that explains NUCCA and if you would like you can check out all the explanations and videos about the procedure on Good Morning America and Montell Williams Show and various other local newscasts. You can find my clinic's website at www dot DeltaSpinalCare dot com.

I read the comments on this blog. I am a certified doctor trained in the Neurologic Relief Centers Technique. I know many of you are skeptical and suspicious because of your past experience with "to good to be true" treatments and promises. Let me first say that as a doctor I take seriously my comimtment to be ethical and scientific and to tell you what I have observed first hand in offering this treatment to my patients. I have personally tested hundreds of people around the country. The results have been remarkable. I have personally many patients to date and they are regaining control of their lives and coming back to health with this natural approach. Yes, it does take a commitment to get well and the treatment protocol is intensive; but for those who we accept into our program the cost and the life saving results are worth the effort.

Consider this: if a person had cancer would they balk at the fact that the may have to receive dozens of radiation treatments or receive chemotherapy that can make them very sick? If that was the way back to health they take the road out. No question. We take the same attitude in handling this condition. It is a chronic and progressive condition that can rob people of their daily lives, relationships, and can lead to severe debilitating diseases. Fibro patients are isolated, often medicated and imprisoned in their body. Many well meaning doctors will prescribe drugs to handle them mentally or for pain. They do this because they have nothing else to offer as help. They are frustrated, too. Fibro patients can be medicated for years and years with no end in sight and no hope for change. They are lost and the medical costs run into the billons of dollars yearly.

The test screens out those that have a specific nerve compression problem that irritates the system and precipitating their condition, it is worth keeping an open mind to at least find a doctor near you that does perform the test and get tested. The testing criterial is very specific as is the results. There are a handfull of doctors currently adept at this program. Find a doctor specifically trained in NRCT can offer some answers.

I have an open mind and I would like more information than you are providing or is available on readily available webites.

As a bit of skeptic, I would like to hear more about the physiology of what the testing actually is testing for, how it is done, and what the treatment is before seriously considering investing time and money.

Perhaps you could elaborate on how the test procedure is done and what it shows. Such a valuable technique surely has a physiological basis and some research to support its' hypothesis.

Sorry for the belated response to your comment, but I do appreciate your comments about the screening process. Do you have any citations for clinical results from this testing? I'm looking for things more concrete than the testimonials I've seen on the web site. I agree that cancer treatment is painful but at least, if that was my diagnosis, I could research specific reports and clinical data to reassure me of the process. Thank you again, lslassiter

I know I may be delayed in my response here, but let me be one of the many that have also reponded to this post. I myself have experienced the complete helplessness feeling of feeling a prisoner in my own body. I had to plan out and think about every move I made, had to think about how what I wore would make me feel during the day... Etc.. Well I was at the lowest point possible, or so I thought, when my boyfriend read a newspaper article about a meeting of treatment for fibromyalga. (I wasn't "diagnosed" with fibro, however I was told by a Dr at a clinic that I had all the symptoms for it...) I was extremely interested and although I could not attend the meeting due to my work schedule, I went to their office on my next day off. I was beyond skeptical when I first heard the doctor explain it to me... But after really listening to her and trying out the first couple courtesy proceedures (which for me I could feel an incredible difference) I was hooked. You cant put a price on health care proceedures that work, and I don't have insurance but am more than willing to go to see her for $40 each time. I have been continuously going for treatment now since beginning of feburary and this proceedure has changed my life for the better, so much, beyond words. I feel like I have my life back, and it's all thanks to that treatment. If you have any questions for me, I'd be more than willing to provide more information about my personal testimonial. You can email me at-- [email protected]

Cacy, thanks for the insight. I don't understand what the treatment is supposed to be classified as for insurance purposes. Or, is the treatment an out-of-pocket service like getting acupuncture or massage therapy? Is your husband a chiropractor?

My physician husband is actually getting trained on Nuerological Relief Technique. You are correct, In the video testimonials mentioned above, it is the same patient in the video because it shows "Joan's" progress over time. She begins to move and feel better each treatment. It is not an overnight remedy and takes multiple treatments, but so far I have seen first handedly amazing results. We are keeping an open mind, as testing and studies are being produced. The treatment/technique was actually designed from a fibro patient/physician himself. I will post again when my husband begins treating his patients. We hope and pray to provide relief to these patients suffering. Thank you, Cacy
