Q:

Can I get pregnant if I skipped three pills and bleeding started?

I'm on combined birth control for half a year now. I missed pill on 16th day of my cycle and skipped it for three consecutive days and on fourth day bleeding started. Now it's third day of bleeding. At the farmacy they advised me to skip 7 days and start a new 21 pill pack afterwards. I had unprotected sex during the days I skipped the pill. Could I get pregnant even if bleeding started? As it is too early to tell it with pregnancy test, can starting new pack of pills harm the baby if I got pregnant?

Hello Anon

If you were bleeding then pregnancy isn't likely - you were having withdrawal bleeding.
But on the off-change you are pregnant, the birth control pills will not affect a pregnancy. Take a pregnancy test to know where you stand.
