Concerned: Missed Period

Period dates: 02/13/14 and 03/09/14 - Last time I had sex was 02/28/14, 03/01/14, and 03/02/14, and as of today I have no cycle. I have 25 day cycles like clock work, and they have been this way for about 5 years now. I am worried because I was suppose to start 04/03/14, and I have taken 3 First Response tests, which all were negative. On 03/17, I went to an aerobics class for the first time, and it was pretty intense (I hadn't done aerobics classes in years). The next day I hurt in my abdomen and spotted for a couple of days. Could this have been implantation bleeding or not? March was a very stressful month for me altogether. I plan on taking another HPT this week. I am just worried. What do you think?

P.S. I only have one ovary and Fallopian tube. So, I am not sure if this may be a factor or even put me in the class of premenopause, because I will be 39 this year.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much for your advice. I took another test today, and it was negative. Stress has been huge for me this past month. So, I hope that is all it is. I plan to touch basis with my OB/GYN this week and see what she has to say, especially because of my history with having reproductive problems.

Also, I think this is such a very helpful website! I am so happy that I stumbled across it, although I was in panic mode.

Thanks again!

Hi wzupbren,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  If you had unprotected intercourse your chances for a pregnancy to occur are higher.  If you are late on your period and your pregnancy test is negative. Then it's unlikely you will be.  You might want to wait a few days and retake a test. Also, stress can cause changes to a woman's ovulation and menstruation. Hope this was helpful/

Best,

Daisy
