I am 18 and had sex for the first time a couple of weeks ago two nights in a row. We used a condom both times and checked for breaks, even going as far as pouring water into the used condom to be sure. We found no leakage, but I am a day late for my usually regular period. I use a period planning app and we were intimate on days that were projected as fertile for me, but the only way I would have had vaginal contact with semen is if the condom broke. We never once went in without one or got his penis close to my vagina when he had preejaculate. I had my normal PMS symptoms earlier last week such as increased appetite, mood swings, and mild cramps, but have yet to start. There was a slight tenderness of my nipples which is pretty uncommon for me, though it is a period symptom for some. I have been peeing frequently, but I think it's because I'm really on edge and continuously checking for any sight of blood. My breasts feel a little bigger, but I could also be psyching myself out; I am very paranoid and worried. I was not on any birth control and I don't plan to have sex again until I am, due to the stressful and worrying fear of not knowing like now. I was very stressed due to finals at the beginning of the month, and my last period carried over into this month a day or two longer than usual. It was also a heavier and longer period than usual in general. I've researched a lot and know I am most likely late due to the fact that I'm stressing and worrying about it so much, but I would like some advice to help put me at ease. I know I'm not very late yet, but I'm just very scared because I don't know how I could cope with a pregnancy at this time in my life. When should I worry enough to take a test and how many should I take to be sure that I'm ok?

Hello Anonymous,
Tomorrow morning, she needs to take a home pregnancy test. She should test with the urine when she first wakes up and uses the bathroom.

Hi I'm 18, my partner and I had sex about a month ago and I took a morning after pill even though we used a condom and he pulled out before finishing with the condom still on. I took a pregnancy test and it turned out negative. We had sex again with protection and again he didn't finish inside of me with the condom. I am 11 days late for period. Should I be worried? Or could it be the morning after pill (plan b) that is skewing with my cycle?

Hello Anonymous,
The morning after pill should have only affected one menstrual cycle. Wait and see what happens. You could have been more sensitive to the hormonal dose in the pill.

Hello Anonymous,
If you did not have sex but were wearing a condom, I do not see any concern or worry about pregnancy.

I think the chances are fairly low that you are pregnant, although I would get a test for sure. Did you ever find out? you posted a while ago.

Hello Anonymous,
Stress could be playing a role in the delay.
However, if you miss one month, test for pregnancy.

Hello I need help! Me and my girlfriend had sex 8 times in a month and she hasn't gotten her period yet she's now 8 days late and we're freaking out! We used condoms every single time as we always do. She took 3 pregnancy tests already and they came back negative. She threw up the day that she was supposed to get her period which was may 2nd. She also had strong cramps on that day and the day after but still no period.. yesterday (may 9th) she threw up after eating breakfast. She did lose 20 pounds in the last 6 months and she wouldn't eat a lot. She has thrown up before the start of her period before so the first time she threw up could be normal but days later she threw up again. She hasn't had any other symptoms of pregnancy and she is pretty regular on her periods so for her to be late is Odd to us! Heeeeeelp!!!
