Q:

Could I be pregnant?

My last period was April 7th. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex during my 'fertile' week (on the 19th and 20th). He pulled out on both occasions (I know its not a birth control method, I'm aware).

I took a pregnancy test late at night the 7th of May and it was negative. My period was supposed to be here at least 2 days ago and I'm never ever late. I feel as though I'm going to get it at any second, my face broke out, I have slighter than normal cramps, I'm tired but worst of all I CANNOT SLEEP. I have a white discharge that started to come out today, no smell or itching or anything just very different for me, I've never had it. Looks like slightly more liquid than normal lotion.

I don't want to get my hopes up or continue spending money on tests until I know how long until I can get an accurate reading on a HPT? Are these early pregnancy symptoms? Its been 19 days since the last unprotected times.

Hello and thank you for sharing your question.

Acne and cramps before your period are normal PMS symptoms, not pregnancy symptoms.  Vaginal discharge and disrupted sleep are not pregnancy symptoms either.

Periods can be late for many reasons besides pregnancy such as stress or hormonal imbalances and is no cause for alarm.

The first sign of pregnancy is a missed period.  So if your period does not come for the next 2 weeks, then take a pregnancy test.
