Ive been on the pill for two years now with no problems. Last week I had slight cervical cramps like the kind I get when im on my period, I went to the doctor, ran some tests, preg test negative, bacterial negative, she said it was a very low chance of pregnancy since I'm was too early to test. I was really cranky on friday, tired on saturday, the cramps started that wednesday. Is this normal? I 31 and ive never experienced this.

Hello Anonymous,

Thank you for seeking our help regarding your health concern. I can appreciate your concern since you have never experienced lower pelvic cramping except during your period.

Anonymous, what tests did your doctor run? Did she do a pelvic exam? Did she do a pelvic ultrasound? Is your doctor an internist or a gynecologist?

Regards,
Maryann

She only ran urine and the preg test. She pressed on my pelvic region but did not do an exam. There wasn't any pain. She pretty much just told me to wait until my period and if I missed it to take a home pregnancy test. My cervix is low right now and still a week until my period. My lower back stopped hurting though.

She was an urgent care doctor, i was too worried and cant get same day appointments with my regular doctor.
