Q:

Does anyone else sneeze after eating mints?

With near predictability I sneeze following the intake of mint whether it's gum, a breath mint, Listerine breath strips, or something else. I've now come to refer to these items as Sneezey Treats. Following the two sneezes, there are no other symptoms. I don't break out in hives, no watery eyes, nothing.

Anyone else got this going on? I obviously don't need to rush to the emergency room and the solution is even more obvious -- stop consuming this stuff, right -- but am looking for fellow MSPs -- or mint sensitive people. Any out there?

Yes that happens to me too however I sneeze more than once. Also Apples make my mouth and tongue itch. I think I just have an odd mouth.

I also sneeze anytime I eat a mint. I've recently started using Listerine and the same thing happens. Weird.

I am an "explosion" sneezer after eating some chocolates, always with chocolate mints and very quickly with white chocolate.
There are two trigger points that set one sneezing / coughing / tears running and or nose running.
The main ones are those half way up the nostrils. These can become very sore if you are e.g. pollen allegic and very very sensitive. Fortunately there are cheap nasal sprays now that are very effective at reducing the sensitivity.
The second trigger point is at the top back of the throat or roof of the mouth. Whichever you like. It's here that the mint or other food causes the allegy reaction. Once the allergen is recognised by the body from previous occassions the reaction stops but one may feel flushed, uncomfortable in the stomach, a bit blocked in the ears etc. Overall I believe it's an allergy to sugar.

I sneeze after I eat something with really strong flavors like mint gum, chocolate (especially dark chocolate), cherry cough drops, and things like that. I'm only 14 but It's been happening to me since I was little. I researched it and found out that its is a sneeze reflex and it happens when you eat something that stimulates your mouth a lot.

It is inevitable that every time I chew minty gum or mint I will sneeze 3 times. It hasn't been going on my whole life, I think the onset was around my freshman year of high school. But my goodness it became pretty embarrassing! My friends thought it was hysterical. I've been told that I have a mild allergy to mint, nothing to really worry about, for now. A couple sneezes isn't going to put me in the hospital obviously. But as the years progress the probability of the allergy getting worse increases. For now I just chew Extra Fruit Sensations gum so my breath smells like watermelon! It's nice to know that there are other people that have this "problem" too! :)
