Getting pregnant indirectly

Hi! I'm worried about something. A week ago, I was with my boyfriend and I touched his penis, and checked with my hand if he had any precum on the tip of it. I'm not completely sure, but I really think it was dry (If there was any precum, it was only a little little bit). Anyways, after that, I touched my phone with that same hand and after about 2 minutes, my boyfriend took the phone to use it, and then touched my vagina. Is it possible to get pregnant that way? Possible precum from penis to hand, then phone and then his hand and only then to my vagina? He didnt insert his finger in me, but it was close to the opening. I know it sounds silly, but I'm a little worried. I was 4 days away from ovulation. Thanks!

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Pre-ejaculate itself does not contain any sperm. Sperm may be inside the urethra if a man ejaculated recently and did not urinate since. If he urinated since he last ejaculated, there is no sperm at all. Pregnancy is very uncommon from pre-ejaculate and the urethra would have to contain sperm at the same time. A woman would also have to be ovulating and engage in unprotected intercourse with ejaculation. Fingering with possible pre-ejaculate is not really feasible although we cannot answer definitively of course. Your period will confirm you're not pregnant.
Best,
Susan
