Had a c section 3 months ago just got on Mirana birth control about 3 weeks I'm on my period for April went change my tampon look down I thought it was the Mirana it wasn't was a piece of the inside of me pretty long maybe piece of cervix or something

I'm very concerned never had this happen to me it was definitely Tissue of some sort??

Thank you for posting!

It sounds like this may be tissue. A period is blood and tissue. Tissue can clot, be round or in strands. It's not your cervix, that is attached to your body. Periods after pregnancy can be extremely heavy but now that you're on birth control, you may find they lighten up.

Check every month to make sure the Mirena is still in place by feeling for the strings.

If you're still concerned, by all means ask for a check up to ease your mind. We can't say for certain what's going on, only what's possible.
