had ecp after sex.. worried about pregnancy

hi, me and my gf had sex on the last date of her periods, i gave her unwanted 72 containing Levonorgestrel next morning. then she had brownish flow after 4 days which lasted 3 days. now its over 30 days from the discharge and she had experienced no periods yet.. is she pregnant?? if she is the what should i do to terminate her pregnancy?? if she is not pregnant then when will her period will resume??

Hello and thank you for sharing your question.

One of the side effects of EC is spotting or bleeding unrelated to your period.  It can also effect your next period as well.  This is not a sign of pregnancy rather a sign that the EC was effective.

EC effects everyone a bit differently, but her period will normalize after the next few cycles.  If she has any questions, you can refer her to this website as well.

I cannot tell you when her next period will come because it will all depend on her hormone levels, the time she took the EC related to her cycle, how her body reacts to the EC, whether or not she has already had her period for this month etc.

The only way of knowing whether or not she is pregnant in the early stages of pregnancy, is if she takes a pregnancy test.
