I had sex with my bf on the 19th October ,exactly 2 weeks after my period and the condom broke. I took Postinor 2 within 12 hours of the broken condom and i didnt have sex since.The Postinor 2 pill did not bring my period but i am getting slight stomach cramps. Is there any possible chance i can still become pregnant?

i want to know if taking postinor 2 stops ovulation for that period when taken and then resumes again within the cycle again or it stops it from coming again till the end of the cycle and one has to wait for the next cycle to resume before ovulation comes.

i took postinor 2 twice in January, after my period and 18 days after the period i apoted blood, light flow and it last for 3 days. till now i haven't see my period have done series of urine test, did one yesterday and is still negative. pls can anyone tell me what is wrong?

February 17, 2017 - 6:12amI had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the 8th of february between the hours of 16:00 -17:00pm GMT and lasted on through and i took the postinor 2 pills at once on the 11th of february between 10:00am and 12:00am GMT.
Then yesterday on the 16th of february i observed that i was spotting and gradually started flowing like a normal period and it has been followed by headaches and fever slightly,stomach pains and the flow is still on but not heavy.
Will i still get pregnant and is the flow a normal one?

Hello Anonymous,
Postinor 2 prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. So, you took it within six hours, and if you had not yet ovulated, it should work.

Postinor 2 will be effective in preventing pregnancy if you took it before ovulation and within 72 hours of unprotected sex. Taking two pills at the same time will not change its effectiveness. Will be okay.

A friend of mine has unprotected sex approximately 6 days after her period has ended then 24 hours later takes first dose of Postinor 2, the Tuesday evening . She is supposed to take the second dose of Postinor within 12 hours but instead takes it in about 23 hours. Would the pill still be effective to prevent her from getting pregnant? Could she still get pregnant ?
How long does each pill last in your system? She's really worried she could be pregnant.
