My bf and I had unprotected sex right atfer I just ended my period I took plan B pills and the next day I got my period again even though I just had it 3 days earlier. But now I still haven't gotten my period. Is it possible that I'm just late?

Can anyone please help me? I'm thinking I'm just going to get my period really late. Or is it possible that I am pregnant? Answers asap please.

Your menstrual blood can be bright red, and that is OK.

What is not OK is feeling light headed, and still bleeding "really heavy" after 7 days.

Emergency contraception can cause irregular bleeding, and this is normal and not harmful. Having sex, taking emergency contraception, having two periods in the same month...none of these indicate a serious problem.

If you continue to bleed really heavily AND feel light headed, it is important for you to call your gynecologist or family doctor to make sure you are not anemic.

Emergency contraception is safe, and you can take it in consecutive days without causing harm. It will just cause irregular bleeding for a cycle or two and other side effects (headache, nausea).

It is not recommended to take EC more than a few times, because if you need to...a better, more effective form of birth control is the pill.

Good luck in the hospital...let us know how you are doing!

I have a similar problem. On July 19th, I started my period. On July 26th, I had protected sex for the first time. I took plan B to be safe. On August 1st, I began to BLEED, not spot. But for 6 days I bled. Could I be pregnant?

I took plan b a week after my period then started my period again a week later. I have now been on my period for almost 2 weeks and the bleeding doesnt seem to be slowing, what could this mean?

After you take Plan B, you can have irregular bleeding or breakthrough bleeding. Breakthrough bleeding is more like "spotting" in-between periods, or you can have what seems to be a regular period after Plan B (even if you were not expecting your period). Plan B is like a mega-dose of hormones and can cause some irregular bleeding. This is normal and not harmful.

However, if you have been bleeding non-stop for more than 7-10 days, then you need to call your doctor. It may not be anything serious, but this could be considered "excessive bleeding" and you may need to be medically evaluated, to be sure you are not losing important nutrients or are not becoming dehydrated. Also, ruling out any medical condition is important, too.

Please call your GYN as soon as you can, to let them know you have been bleeding consistently for 14 days (or, whatever the number), with a steady flow (no light days and no spotting, right?).

Hi to anyone that can help me.
My period stopped on the 4th of July. I had sex with my boyfriend on the 10th of July but the condom broke so I took the Plan B on the 11th of july.
On the 26th of July I started what I thought was my normal period (even though it was a little early) but it only lasted 3 days and was very very light.
My normal period is usually heavy and lasts 6 to 7 days.
I just very worried that I am pregnant and do not know what is happening.
Please help

Also I had my period on July 7th and this happened July 27th. Am I ovulating around this time? Should I take the Plan B pill. Please let me know..If I need to take it today with the 72 hour period.

I am 17 years old and I manually by using my hand made my bf ejaculate; however, he had cum on his hand and he stuck his finger in my vagina and I'm not sure if it had cum on it. This was yesterday. Should I take the Plan B pill? Please advise if I need to take the Plan B pill tomorrow.
