You can have a missed or irregular period for many other reasons besides pregnancy such as stress or hormonal imbalances. It is especially common in adolescent girls and is no cause for alarm.
Because you had protected sex and a regular period right after that, you cannot be pregnant. It is only necessary to have a regular period if you are trying to become pregnant or you have severe negative symptoms related to your period such as debilitating pain.
