Pregnancy is a possible cause. Having unprotected intercourse, five days before you are due to ovulate and on the day of ovulation can cause you to become pregnant.
You can wait until your period is late by at least seven days, or take an early response pregnancy test as early as five days before your period is due.
For the most accurate result, do test in the morning. Use the urine when you wake up and use the bathroom.
