Your period started early because you missed three doses of your birth control pills.
Oral contraceptives contain estrogen or progestin, or a combination of both hormones. These two hormones along with two others, follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, control the menstrual cycle. Once you missed the pills, your body got the signal to start menstruation.
Wait until your period finished and start a new pack. Please contact your gynecologist, report what happened and asked if this is what you should do.
